Buying the perfect fur jacket as you have imagined is not always a successful process. Even if you finally found a fur jacket that fits perfectly on you, there are some details like the color tone, the coat size, etc, that are not what you wanted and that make you change your mind about the fur jacket. So what can you do in that case? You can customize it! There are some factors that you can bare in mind when you are to order a custom-made fur jacket.

Measurements

The most important thing about custom-made orders is body measurements.  You must be careful when you take your body measurements because wrong measurements, and the wrong fur jacket size. The body parts that you need to measure are the bust, hips, and arm measurements.
Bust measurements are the most important because the bust is the fullest body part. If the hook doesn’t close, then you will have a fitting problem.
First, you will need measurement tape. It is necessary to wear just your underwear or a T-shirt with thin fabric to get your real body measurements. Wrap the measuring tape somewhat tight around the back, under the arms across the fullest part of your bust(at nipple level). The tape should be flat against the figure and not too tight. Don’t cheat!

We continue with the waist. Remove any layers of clothing that are covering your waist to guarantee that the tape measure is lying against your bare stomach where it needs to be for an accurate measurement. Take off your shirt or raise it to your chest area. Unbutton your pants and pull them down to your hips if they are in the way.
Find the top of your hips and the bottom of your ribcage using your fingers. The soft, area between these two bony portions is your waist. It is frequently seen at or above your belly button and will also be the thinnest region of your body. Measure the circumference of your waist. Straighten your spine and breathe normally. The tape measure should be held at the navel and wrapped around your back to the front of your waist. The measuring tape should be parallel to the ground and should wrap tightly around your torso without snagging.
Verify that the measuring tape is straight throughout and not twisted in any area, particularly the back.

To measure your hips, your feet should be together. A measurement that is larger than your hip area can be produced by spreading your feet apart. To take the measurement, converge your feet. Your feet shouldn’t be wider than your shoulders at the very least, but closer together is preferable. Below your waist is your hips, which are typically wider than your waist. Your butt and hips are included in your hip measurement. Find the widest point. The widest part of your hips should be determined for hip measurements. This is so that you can get an accurate portrayal of your body when collecting measures because the hips are the broadest part of your lower body. You must locate the broadest place for the fur jacket to fit properly.
To identify the widest location after placing your tape measure, you might need to go up or down a few inches. Because every person’s body is unique, it could take a few repositioning attempts to make sure you’re measuring the widest location.

Last but not least is the arm’s length. With your arms at your sides and standing upright, salute.  Avoid slouching or leaning excessively as both can affect your measurement. Keep your fingers tucked away in your pockets and keep your arms slightly bent. At the base of your neck, place the measuring tape’s other end. To acquire the most accurate measurement, place the measuring tape precisely at the base of your neck.  Measure from your shoulder to just past your wrist bone to where you would like your shirt cuff to sit.

Extra tips: In all cases, it is better to take your measurements without clothes or just with your underwear. If you feel that your measurements are not correct, ask for someone else to take your measurements.

Choosing the right color

When it comes to visual communication, color is the most effective tool that has power, and the proper hue may make all the difference. If the color is too vibrant or intense, the coat will wear you out. Simply put, we’ll first notice the coat and then you. Your face will lose color if the color is too pale. In other words, you have to find a jacket that matches your skin tone and flattens it. Another important step is to choose according to your clothes color. If most of your clothes are in dark shades, then you won’t have a problem buying a colorful fur coat. If your wardrobe has all rainbow clothes, then a fur jacket in neutral colors is the safest option.

Tight or loose?

You can select your optimal size with confidence if you know what to look for. Even with a layer underneath, you should be able to comfortably hug yourself thanks to the wide shoulders and long enough sleeves to protect your wrists. Your back curve should be gently followed by the rear of the jacket. Your coat may be too big if the body appears enormous and amorphous. Some women prefer their jackets to be looser so they can wear sweaters but some others want their jackets to be tight.  It’s up to you!
