New York Fashion Week Began And Tom Ford Made A Statement Using Leather Belts And Multicolor Fur Coats

While most designers are showing Spring ’17, Tom Ford’s drawing in his customer with a see-now, buy-now approach. Tom Ford is one designer who chose to bridge the retail and runway gaps. The designer presented his Fall 2016 collection in New York on Wednesday and set the stage for one very classy and intimate dining experience, his new collection includes leather belts and multicolor fur coats. Stars in attendance included Karlie Kloss, Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Julianne Moore, Tom Hanks, Rita Ora, and more. What about the clothes? They were sexy and powerful—classic Ford. With his signature precision, Ford cut leather tops and tweed pencil skirts; leopard prowled his catwalk on dresses and coats; and the last section of sequined gowns was lavish in its execution. Grace Hartzel opened the show in a chestnut leather blazer and pencil skirt, her hair cropped into a retro shag. As modeled by some lesser-known catwalkers, the clothes — a bit ’70s, a bit Western — included tweed pencil skirts and exaggerated cinched-at-the-waist tweed jackets. There was tie-dye leather everywhere, from the harness-like belts to the leopard-lined jackets. The women strutted their stuff at the Four Seasons in tall leather boots, several of them also decked out in gold, Western-inspired jewelry, any girl who’s inspired by the ’70s will covet the shearling patchwork and fur coats and geometric, spindly jewels. Philippe Chansel, Tom Ford’s Beauty Director of Innovation and Product Development, explained the look. “It’s very, very natural. Mr. Ford was very enthused by the [natural] beauty of the models… It’s kind of grooming, and polishing and giving the models just a slightly better than real look, but it still looks very real and fresh.” The biggest supermodels to take the runway for a Fashion Week presentation are usually the first down the catwalk — or else they close out the show with the big finale. But at Tom Ford’s very exclusive New York Fashion Week show on Wednesday night, Gigi Hadid walked out right in the middle. Fur Coats In Autumn/Winter 2016-2017 Ready To Wear

A-list designers know that fur coats are the most feminine and beautiful units of outer clothing and 2016 was for sure a year when designers and brands all over the world used fur in their runaways. Fur was the main attraction of fashion week during Autumn/Winter Ready to Wear shows in the 4 capitals of fashion. From Fendi to Dennis Basso, from Milan’s fashion week to New York’s ”passerelle”, fur was the main attraction, for us and for all.. Valentino Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli were seduced by dance this season, from the Russian Ballets to the New York City Ballet. They also cited dance films such as They Shoot Horses Don’t They? starring Jane Fonda. The unraveling of which made for a standout show that grew with unabashed romance with every exit. I started with Valentino because my favorite fur masterpiece for this year was in this collection, a gentle pastel-colored fur jacket that gives you a taste of autumn romance.   Gucci At the fashion show, there were lots of different colors. First, there was a sugary pink fox fur coat, and then an emerald green sequinned mandarin collar blouse. The show then switched to clothing that was all colors together, like a red mink fur coat styled over a red tuxedo suit and a librarian-chic combination of a tweed jacket and wool check pants styled with a paisley print pussy-bow blouse. Also, there was a lot that was cleaner and less layered than the spring collection, and it worked, bringing out the beauty – and wearability – of some of these pieces. A white double-breasted coat looked like an appealing option, and so was an uncomplicated ivory smoking suit. But crucially, Michele’s hallmarks were still there: the straight silk dresses with 7/8 sleeves cuffed in mink, coiled serpent embroideries, double-breasted brocade coats, knitted ruffled red capes, and baseball jackets with the house webbing all atop precariously high wedges or zebra striped platforms with hairy ‘tails’. A classy catwalk, full of mink details.. An ode to Real Fur..       Fendi Those Fendi bag charms have become a bit of a thing; the fuzzy characters in saccharine colors with slanted monster eyes and sometimes Mohicans swing from bags all over the place, from London to Milan to wherever. A few days prior to the show, a press release announced two special ‘celebrity’ guests flying all the way over from Japan, no less, to attend this morning’s show – the FENDIRUMI, Piro-chan, and Bug-Kun, two-meter tall furry bag charms. They’re here in Milan to celebrate the biggest Fendi Ginza pop-up store in Tokyo, which opened last November. But no one really cares about that, they just want their picture to be taken next to one to post on all social media channels: #Fendirumi. Clever Fendi. Should your heart desire you can buy your own fluffy bag charm-sized version from today on Fendi.com and Fendi boutiques, available in a limited edition run of 80. “They perfectly embody the Fendi fun spirit,” said Silvia Venturini Fendi. The fun continued on the runway with turquoise thigh-high boots, a navy coat with a fur collar featuring intarsia monster eyes, teddy bear shearlings, and stripy-tailed fur stoles and fur coats. Versace DONATELLA VERSACE was celebrating the return of the supermodel. Her roll call of girls was a stellar gang comprising of Gigi Hadid who had flown in specially to open the show, swiftly followed by Karlie Kloss, Adriana Lima, Kendall Jenner, and Irina Shayk. It was a celebration of girls with personality, as far from identikit as possible. The fact that Cate Blanchett looked so ravishing in a custom-made Atelier Versace black sequinned gown at the 18th Costume Designers Guild Awards last week is proof that Versace can work for all women. No fur coats for Versace, I will showcase ONLY the fox fur tail in several colors, for the simple reason that I loved it!!                                     Dennis Basso Basso went a little deeper into the fantasy he created for Pre-Fall 2016, when he imagined women dressed to the nines dining in a forest under a moonlit sky. Here, the dream was a little more sultry and sexy: Basso’s women came out in silky, chantilly lace–trimmed slips and jumpsuits with his signature furs draped over their shoulders — almost as if they’d sleepwalked into a glamorous soiree. There were also plenty of gowns, fur coats, cocktail dresses, and evening tops — structured bodices with exaggerated waists —in velvet, brocade, feathers, and beading. “Those materials might have been at one time for an older woman, but this is really for a young girl. She’s hot, sexy,” said Basso. That was absolutely true for a stunning crushed velvet gold slinky gown but maybe less so for an embroidered sequin strapless dress with fur trim. Other highlights included the groovy hand-embroidered coats with fur collars, which Basso’s younger clientele will gladly throw on with jeans.

Nothing can stop them. Rihanna and Khloe don’t care about the hot summer, the first in Paris and the second in West Hollywood made an appearance in a totally furry style.. Rihanna caused a flurry of excitement among the crowd of bystanders, with high heels, hair pulled back in a chic high ponytail and a light blue fur wrap ending in an unusual red, black and white design tossed over her shoulder. Wearing a touch of fur accessories during the summer is an unexpected element that can give your regular summer outfit an edgy, runway-ready feel. Khloe arrived at The Nice Guy in West Hollywood for half-sister Kylie’s early 19th birthday party. Inside Lavish Wedding Of Violetta Nakhimova, Fur Designer, In Safisa, Moscow

Everybody must take a look inside this billionaire’s weekend-long wedding. Violetta Nakhimova, fur designer and owner of the fashion label Admiral by Violetta Nakhimova had a really extravagant wedding last week. The marriage took place in Safisa and hosted earlier this year 3 more billionaire’s weddings. Five hundred guests were invited to the lavish celebrations, which were amazingly planned just four months after Violetta announced her engagement to Daniel in February. The bride’s arrival was heralded by a quartet of drummers in smart military-style uniforms, and once inside, she removed her jacket to reveal the delicate lace top and sleeves of her dress. One day of celebrating was not enough and the wedding continued into the following day. Violetta changed into another beautiful gown to continue the party – a delicate pink gown with an all-over embellishment of pink and white petals. The highlights of the wedding were the horse-drawn carriage in which the bride arrived at the wedding and the six feet high wedding cake. Violetta Nakhimova,  Creative Director, and lead designer was born and raised in Russia, into a family of highly skilled craftsmen. An influential fur modelist and technologist, Violetta is developing the label to echo her unique approach to fur design. Trained at both the Moscow University of Design & Technology and Modapelle Academy in Milan, Violetta’s work consistently challenges the construction and movement of fur garments. Her pieces, architectural but with a whimsical story, reflect her background as a trained dancer, offering fluidity and drama. She describes her fur clothing line as a “sophisticated combination of rich Russian tradition with Italian craftsmanship.” For more fur styles check here.
